The Viking Period in Old Uppsala
On this walk, starting in Old Uppsala, you will be introduced to tremendous burial mounds. Hear about magnificent burials, with ships and sacrificed animals. Discover the deep secrets of the (long) halls, and the (former) cathedral’s fascinating history. Learn about human sacrifices in the sacrificial grove, and the exciting Viking and Vendel Periods.
Startling Location: We meet outside the main entrance/ doors of Old Uppsala museum.
A minimum of 4 adults are required for the tour to take place.
If the tour has too few booked guests, we will contact you for a new date.
A supplement fee can be added for the tour to be private for you.
